Frédéric Vasseur announces his resignation as Team Principal of Alfa Romeo F1[F1-Gate.com]

Frédéric Vasseur, team principal of Alfa Romeo F1 Team ORLEN and CEO of Sauber Motorsport, has announced that he will leave the company in January 2023 after six successful seasons at the helm of the team. .

Frédéric Vasseur joined Sauber, tenth and last in the Constructors’ Championship, in 2017, embarking on the reconstruction and growth of the famous marque. They acquired Alfa Romeo as title sponsor.

In the 2022 season, the Alfa Romeo F1 Team finished 6th in the F1 constructors’ standings, the best performance in the last 10 years.

Vasseur also played a key role in the deal which saw Audi enter F1 in 2026 and make Sauber a works team.
