Frédéric Nsabiyumva arrived at Grönvitt last autumn and he has been one of the team’s leading players as well as the defensive general during his time at the club. Now it is clear that “Freddy” is extending his contract with VSK for the next three seasons.
Frédéric was ready for VSK in the summer window of 2022. But it took until the fall before all the papers were signed and ready. Once in place, he contributed as a centre-back to stabilizing the defensive game and also scored two goals in the six appearances he managed during the autumn.
During this year’s season, “Freddy” has further proven his value to the team by being the one who directs the defensive work in the team’s three-back line. His defensive work has not only been approved but strongly contributed to the team not losing a game at home since he was signed. There are 18 games in total with a paltry nine goals conceded.
Now “Freddy” continues the journey with Grönvitt through an extended contract that extends over the 2026 season.
The extension of Frédéric Nsabiyumva has been made possible to some extent by a financial contribution from Hygienteknik and its owner Stefan Johansson.
