Freddy Guevara’s lawyer recriminated that his constitutional rights were not respected because he was a high-ranking political official
On Monday night, the lawyer, Omar Mora Tosta, who is one of the legal representatives of the opposition leader, Freddy Guevara, reported that there is no confirmation that Guevara is at the headquarters of El Helicoide.
Mora Tosta is at the Sebin headquarters with the relatives of Freddy Guevara waiting to be informed of his whereabouts.
“There is no person at the gates of El Helicoide who confirms that Deputy Freddy Guevara is at that headquarters.”
The defender warned that he does not understand why they say they have no information if the Public Ministry of the Nicolás Maduro administration confirmed it in a statement.

“They indicated that they requested the arrest warrant and Sebin officers carried out the arrest,” he commented.
Mora rebuked why if the order was issued today, when did they respect the constitutional rights, it is.
“As established in Article 200 of the National Constitution, it contemplates that a special procedure must be carried out for being a senior official,” he added.
He stressed that “Guevara knew what he was exposing himself to.”
“He expressed that he decided to stay in Venezuela to fight for democracy in Venezuela,” he concluded.
