Freddie Flintoff, the former England cricket ace and host of multiple television shows, will reportedly be off air until at least 2024 due to the shocking Top Gear crash that left him “lucky to be alive.” The accident occurred in December of last year at Dunsfold Aerodrome in Surrey, resulting in facial injuries and broken ribs. Production on Top Gear had already been halted, and now it’s believed another of Freddie’s shows has been postponed, namely an unnamed BBC2 series in a similar vein to The Repair Shop. The program was set to see vehicle owners bringing in their old cars to be repaired by Freddie and his team. While it was hoped that the restoration show could be an easy way back into television, it appears that Freddie’s long road to recovery may cause further delays. The BBC has not yet commented on this development.
