In 2023, the British brand FRED PERRY will continue to pursue the transformation of subculture and explore the birthplace of emerging youth culture. This time, with the theme of “Night Tales”, a series of activities will be carried out in cooperation with the local music scene in Shanghai, Chengdu, and Beijing. While paying tribute to the British underground music of the 1990s, it will also explore the nightlife culture of contemporary young people.
The first stop of the event, FRED PERRY and the Shanghai vinyl music venue “Wugong” brought a Hip-Hop rhythm night. Located on Wuyi Road, “Wugong” features vinyl records and a Hi-Fi sound system, and extends the core concept of music to food and dining, providing more entertainment and participation methods for the nightlife in the area. With the retro and unique avant-garde Mixtape, more and more interesting young people gather here, jumping out of the original high-speed life rhythm, and enjoying music under the influence of alcohol.
This event invited Amber Akilla and Kin.J to bring continuous music release, and use their respective Hip-Hop music to “enter the palace to discuss”.
Amber Akilla is a Chinese DJ born in Australia. She is never limited by any music genre. She mixes in Breaks, Techno, House, Hip-Hop, Kpop and Pop. What is important is that she passes one after another. A unique and unforgettable sound experience, leading the audience to experience the flowing energy endowed by music.
