Frecciarossa train derailed in Lodi: two dead, dozens injured Latest news

OSPEDALETTO LODIGIANO – A high-speed train Red Arrow, started from Milan at 5:10 am and headed to Rome, derailed this morning at 5.35 at the height of Ospedaletto Lodigiano (Lodi) along the line Milan-Bolognto. On the spot they are dozens of emergency vehicles firefighters and 118. Others are arriving from Milan. The causes of the accident are under investigation: the envoys of the Courier service are live video from the disaster site (find the live here).

At the moment rescuers talk about two dead, the train driver and another railway worker. The Civil Protection, rushed to the scene, talks about 27 injured: 25 in green code and two in yellow code. The only injured in more serious conditions is a railroad cleaner. The man, according to what was reported by the police on the spot, would not however be life threatening. The train was not very crowded: it is in fact the first convoy in the morning, which left at dawn from the Lombard capital and headed for the capital.
