Fraunhofer-Leitprojekt ALBACOPTER – Fraunhofer ICT

Shifting parts of urban traffic into the air is no longer a dream of the future. Within the lead project ALBACOPTER, under the direction of the Fraunhofer IVI, a flying experimental platform with the VTOL capability of a multicopter and the aerodynamic advantages of a glider is to be developed and approved for test and demonstration flights. Six Fraunhofer institutes contribute their skills and technologies from the fields of mobility, materials science, energy and drive technology, mechatronics, microelectronics, sensor, communication and automation technology, artificial intelligence and production technology to the ambitious research project.
