A previously unknown person managed to cheat a woman by a four-digit amount on Thursday afternoon via the Whatsapp messenger service. This is a scam that has been used successfully several times. According to the message from her alleged daughter, she should transfer money to two German accounts. The woman then made several transfers to the specified account details. The police have launched investigations and advise in this context to remain skeptical about messages from unknown numbers and not to be put under pressure. Suspicious and unusual situations should be questioned. The police also advise not to transfer money to unknown bank accounts and to call the police if in doubt.
