Almost three decades after its release, Frasier returns to television. Paramount Plus, the next platform for streaming ViacomCBS, has confirmed the production of this sequel series, a project long gestated by its protagonist, Kelsey Grammer.
According to reports VarietyIn the new fiction Grammer, he will replay the title character, in addition to serving as executive producer of the project. Joe Cristalli and Chris Harris, screenwriters of How i met your mother, will write and produce the series. And CBS Studios will produce the project alongside Grammnet Productions.
Created by David Angell, Peter Casey and David Lee, Frasier It is one of the most celebrated comedies on American television. And in turn a spin off from another hit series: Cheers (1982-1993). NBC aired all 11 seasons of Frasier between 1993 and 2004, achieving 37 Emmy Awards.
The return of Frasier has been announced by ViacomCBS as part of its international expansion strategy. Their goal: to create an interlocking ecosystem that includes free offer, premium and payment. Regarding the first, the giant recently launched the platform ofstreamingfreePluto TV in Spain.
In payment, Paramount Plus debut on March 4 in the United States, Latin America and Canada, arriving in the Nordic countries on March 25 and disembarking in Australia at the end of the year.
