Franz Fayot on a working visit to Kosovo

Franz Fayot, Minister for Cooperation and Humanitarian Action, will pay a working visit to Kosovo on July 21, 2022. During the trip, Minister Fayot will sign a new bilateral agreement as well as a new Memorandum of Understanding with the counterpart Kosovo, making it possible to lay the groundwork for development cooperation relations between Luxembourg and Kosovo in the years to come.

In addition, the visit will take place in the context of the opening of Manifesta, the nomadic European biennial, the 14th edition of which will take place in Pristina between July 22 and October 30, 2022. Luxembourg Development Cooperation is a key partner of Manifesta , in particular through the support of the project to renovate and transform the Hivzi Sylejmani library into a public space with a focus on education and community space. Minister Fayot will participate in the unveiling of the library plaque, in the presence of the Minister of Culture of Kosovo, Hajrulla Çeku, the Mayor of the Municipality of Pristina, Përparim Rama, as well as the director of Manifesta, Hedwig Fijen.

A bilateral meeting with Besnik Bislimi, Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, as well as a working lunch with Arbërie Nagavci, Minister of Education of Kosovo, and representatives of the United Nations Development Programme, will also be on the program.
