Frantic Search Underway for Two-Week-Old Twin Boys Taken from Livonia Hotel

Livonia, MI – Police and family members are desperately searching for two-week-old twin boys who were reportedly taken from a hotel in Livonia. The incident occurred last night, and an Amber Alert was issued just before 6 a.m., broadcasting the news throughout metro Detroit.

According to Livonia police, the infants, Matthew Jace and Montana Alexander Bridges, were taken by two women who fled the scene in a black Jeep Grand Cherokee with chrome trim. The vehicle has a Michigan license plate with the number EHD1130. The Jeep was last seen near the Quality Inn on Plymouth Road, according to Michigan State Police.

Authorities have provided limited details about the incident, stating that the newborns may have only been in diapers at the time of their abduction. Investigators are currently interviewing the parents to gather more information.

The grandmother of the missing infants, Lolita Vann, expressed her deep concern for her grandbabies. She received a call from someone claiming to be on behalf of her daughter, Jazlyn Morgan, who informed her about the disappearance.

“I’m trying to piece the puzzle together,” Vann said. “All I know is that my grandchildren went missing yesterday evening around 10 o’clock. And we don’t know the situation. I haven’t talked to her mom. She isn’t being held, but is at the police department.”

Vann explained that her daughter was seeking help for a place to stay with her sons after her home was broken into. Some individuals offered her diapers, but it remains unclear how the situation escalated into an abduction.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children confirmed that the infants were taken by two women. Vann emphasized the urgency of finding the babies, highlighting their vulnerability and constant need for care.

“It’s so important we get these babies home,” Vann pleaded. “I don’t know if they’ve eaten, been changed, if they are crying? They are newborns.”

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident or the whereabouts of the infants to contact 911 or the Livonia Police Department at 734-466-2470.

The Amber Alert system, which stands for America’s Missing: Broadcast Emergency Response, was created in memory of Amber Hagerman, a 9-year-old girl who was kidnapped and killed in Arlington, Texas. The system aims to quickly disseminate information about missing children to the public.

This incident follows a recent tragedy in July when an Amber Alert was issued for 2-year-old Wynter Cole-Smith, who was taken from her home in Lansing. Her body was later discovered in metro Detroit, and a suspect has been charged with her kidnapping and slaying.

The search for Matthew Jace and Montana Alexander Bridges continues, and authorities are hopeful for their safe return.
