The match at Clash of the Stars between Zdenek Godla and Pavel Novotný brought unexpected drama. Godla, who replaced the sulking Aleš Bejr at the last minute and accepted the challenge just a day before, managed to thoroughly flood the mayor of Řeporyjí. And Novotný prepared honestly for the match, trained for his life and lost ten kilos in the process.
Pavel Novotný threatened to kill him
The mayor of Řeporyjí, Pavel Novotný, has been preparing for the match in Clash of the Stars for several months. He was supposed to face YouTuber Aleš Bejra in the cage, but he finally called it off at the last moment. Novotný did not express much during the press conferences in which he participated in the presence of his original opponent.
It only changed when Bejr angrily walked away from the final press conference after receiving a few slaps from Cverna. “I’m really going to try to kill this man. I’m really going to kill him in that ring and you’ll all remember what I said here.” claimed Novotný confidently. “The motherfucker will be taken to the hospital in front of his wife and children. I will kill him!” he harshly threatened Aleš. But that didn’t come true for him. Instead of Aleš, he stood in the cage against the actor Zdenek Godl.
Zdeněk Godla walked into the match from the street
The actor Zdeněk Godla, who became famous as the angle holding the Roma garbageman Franta from the series Most!, took the match a day before. He basically marched into the ring straight off the street. The actor was very happy when they called him with the offer, and he didn’t hesitate for a moment. “I didn’t doubt it, I was happy. It suits me. You called me that Bejr took it, so I was angry for a while, but then you told me he canceled it. I’m happy. I feel good physically. It’s going to be tough box,” revealed Godl before the match.

Novotný was the favorite for the whole match, the spectators did not believe Godl and were angry that he was going instead of Bejro. That’s why it was a big surprise for everyone when he didn’t give the win to the mayor for nothing. The actor, who came without any boxing training, really tortured Pavel in the cage. The mayor put on a first-class show at the gala when he entered the match, but he ultimately didn’t do much in the cage. Novotnywho trained for half a year, ended up fighting mainly with his face.
