entertainment">So far it has only been one season despite the soap being a huge success. Frans and his wife Mariska wanted to wait with a possible sequel in view of their children. “At some point your children grow up and they all have their own ideas and privacy. You make choices for your family. Only when they are big enough to decide for themselves, and that is the case now, can we see if we might do it.”
entertainment">There are currently no talks about a possible new series. “It could just be possible, but for the time being there is no question of it,” said Frans, who if he would do it, would only want to tackle it in a big way. “A real-life soap is not that easy,” he emphasizes. “If you really want to do it right, you have to allow cameras 24 hours a day. It’s not just for a moment: we’re moving and we’re going to film it. It is life as it is.”
entertainment">Frans, who currently makes programs for RTL, also briefly discussed the intended merger of RTL and Talpa in the broadcast. He says he wasn’t shocked. “It’s only good,” he says. “At the end of the day, it’s about what it means for the bigger picture. I think it’s positive, also for the viewers. I think there will be more diversity in the future.”
