Frans Bauer and Kafke Create Summer Vibes with New Song ‘From Brabant to Bordeaux’ – Exclusive Collaboration Story!

Put two Brabant hosts together in a twist and you have a summer effect. That’s what Frans Bauer and Kafke thought. The two know how to throw a summer party with their new song ‘From Brabant to Bordeaux’. While enjoying a sausage roll, the two spoke Monday on the radio program WAKKER! on Omroep Brabant how their collaboration came about.

The singer Kafke is famous for his songs ‘Springen’, ‘Puberbrein’ and ‘Nee Gij’. He has also been called ‘the singer who can’t sing’, but he sure can create an atmosphere. His agenda is full of shows and five years ago he had his own show at Poppodium 013 in Tilburg.

Until now, he had not dreamed of a collaboration with ‘our’ most famous folk singer, Frans Bauer. “It’s the big Bauer, isn’t it,” said Kafke. He finds it very special that he was not the one who asked for collaboration, but that Frans Bauer told him: “Frans’ son likes to drink beer in the cafe where my music is heard.” When Frans Jr. came home, he came and told his father that he should work with me.”

Frans did not know who Kafke was. “Once there was a cake in our office. I asked if it was someone’s birthday, but it turned out that they were going to take care of the recordings of the singer Kafke ,” he laughs. That was the second time someone started talking about Kafke and that’s why Frans decided to listen to the music.

A while later, Kafke’s representative played a song about turning to Frans. He fell in love immediately. “It never left my mind,” he says. And then he decided to ask Kafke to record the song together. It wasn’t long until the two discovered that their voices fit well together. “It’s just magical,” Kafke concludes with a smile.
