Brann set a club record with eight straight wins when they beat Molde in the previous game. It seemed for a long time that the club record would stop there, but after 84 minutes Fredrik Pallesen was at work when there was chaos in front of the Sandefjord goal. He slammed the ball into the goal. But soon after, Sandefjord equalized at Franklin Nyenetue.
– It was incredibly important for us, says Nyenetue to TV 2.
And thus Brann’s club record is still eight wins.
Brann drove on and challenged the home team from the start.
The biggest chance before the break came after 37 minutes, when Brann’s Ulrik Mathisen put the ball in the post. The guests from Western Norway were the best in most of the first 45 minutes, but they did not get the ball in the goal.
League leaders Bodø/Glimt meet Lillestrøm at home at Aspmyra on Monday. Viking was number two before this series round, one point ahead of Brann. But Viking struggled against Strømsgodset and lost. Thus, both Brann and Viking have 52 points, Brann has a three goal better goal difference.

Sandefjord enticed the public with free tickets, but it was relatively quiet at the Jotun Arena. And during the break it started to snow. And later in the half, the snowy weather affected the match more and more. The pitch got wetter and wetter and the ball rolled slower and slower.
The fire continued to fuel in the inclement weather. Sivert Heltne Nilsen had several opportunities. First he put a ball in the net wall, then he tried another shot, but was blocked, Ulrik Mathisen was on the rebound.
But the home team also played for a few chances, and there was a chance bonanza halfway through the half. And it was the unpredictable surface and approach to chaos football that Sandefjord and Nyenetue took advantage of.
Molde and Tromsø play on Monday, with a win Tromsø takes the silver place.
It is heading towards a shocker of a series finish at both top and bottom. Sandefjord is fighting for a new season in the elite series. Sandefjord is second last in the elite series.
Vålerenga, Stabæk and HamKam also live dangerously, while Aalesund is at the bottom.
Do you remember this cheeky Finne variant from September?
