Frankie Dettori’s career celebrated at the Snai San Siro Hippodrome – Il Tempo

MILAN (ITALPRESS) – The day dedicated to Frankie Dettori, the most famous and winning jockey in the world, who chose to end his career in Italy at the Snai San Siro Hippodrome, ended successfully yesterday.
To celebrate this important moment in the jockey’s life, the Milanese liberty facility opened its gates to welcome Milanese families and horse racing enthusiasts for a day of sport, celebration, entertainment and music. Between activities for children, DJ sets and of course horse races – in which Dettori himself participated – the day recorded almost 5000 visitors.
“Lanfranco “Frankie” Dettori is a sportsman capable of arousing very strong emotions, this is because he is not just any jockey but the jockey par excellence – said Fabio Schiavolin, CEO of Snaitech -. His successes have given the world of international galloping, and millions of enthusiasts around the world, incredible sensations while holding high the name of Italy and his adopted country, the United Kingdom. I believe that the combination of Dettori and horses is unique as it perfectly represents the beauty and love of a fascinating discipline like galloping. For this reason, for us at Snaitech, it is a pleasure and an honor to have been able to host Frankie at the Snai San Siro Hippodrome in Milan for his last career appearance, on a track where it all began for him almost 38 years ago”.
“I am honored to be here at the Snai San Siro Hippodrome for my last career race on a special racing day in which the Jockey Club Grand Prix is contested – underlined Dettori -. My professional history as a jockey began from this track and then, as you well know, it moved to England, a country that hosted me and helped me grow as a man and as a jockey. And from there I began that path that sees me today, after almost 38 years, in the racecourse where I started when I was little more than a teenager, the San Siro racecourse.” “I have many, many memories of this racecourse, the training center and the stables. Unique atmospheres that I will always carry in my heart – he recalled -. Thirty-eight years of career is a long time and I have experienced many emotions. For this I thank Snaitech who organized this party for me, in particular Dr. Fabio Schiavolin. It’s a great joy to experience a day like this at San Siro and in Milan, the city where I grew up and which every time I go back makes me take a dive into the past.”
