Who would have thought that Eintracht Frankfurt would have a strong start to the season even without Filip Kostic, last season’s top scorer? It comes as no surprise that the Hessians have high quality on the offensive even without the Serbs. Can the new trio infernale now also be dangerous for FC Bayern?
No herd of buffalo, but also dangerous: André Silva, Bas Dost and Daichi Kamada.

Because it is noticeable before the duel with the record champions on Saturday (3:30 p.m., LIVE! At kicker): Daichi Kamada (1 hit / 3 assists), André Silva (3/2) or Bas Dost (2 / 2) directly involved. The only Eintracht professional who does not belong to the trio and still scored a scorer point is Sebastian Rode, who scored 3-0 against Hertha in the meantime. It is almost logical that tender memories of another, quite successful offensive trio are awakened in the banking city.
Dost, Silva and Kamada bring different strengths to the tableau than the once famous buffalo herd Ante Rebic, Luka Jovic and Sebastien Haller, now in the service of Milan, Real Madrid and West Ham United. The new series of attacks is not so powerful and dynamic. And: It acts in a more classic form with a ten Kamada behind the tips Dost and Silva, whereby the Portuguese with the excellent first contact also likes to drop. Especially with a Kostic, last round with four hits and 13 assists top scorer and missing since the 2nd matchday with a tear in the inner ligament, this offensive could come into its own even more.
It doesn’t have to be a mortgage that the Serb who is back in running training is still missing in the Bavarian capital. What may sound absurd in view of the quality of the 27-year-old, makes sense when you look at the games in which Bayern had problems in this young season: At the final of the European Super Cup against FC Sevilla (1: 2 nV) and the 1: 4 bankruptcy at TSG Hoffenheim, the respective opponent steered the FCB in the construction skillfully over the outer lanes – which are just not as ball-safe and determined as a Kimmich or Goretzka in the lecture.
On the one hand, the sprinting strong Kostic would be exactly the right man to then put his counterpart on the right back (from Bayern’s point of view) under pressure or push into rooms after winning the ball. On the other hand, Kostic is a classic offensive thinker. In this respect, it does not have to be a disadvantage that especially when the opponent is forced across the track, an actor who is more concerned with security like Steven Zuber acts there.
