The vaccination center in Frankfurt wants to significantly expand its capacities from mid-January. Then 3500 instead of the previous 2700 vaccinations a day should be possible, as the city announced on Wednesday. Vaccination has been going on at the exhibition center for a year now. The demand is still high.
“Of course, the renewed expansion of the vaccination center was associated with a few challenges. We needed new vaccination lines, more staff and had to remodel our premises,” said Marion Verg from medical security at the Frankfurt Health Department. There are three new vaccination lines, 20 jobs for medical screening and vaccination documentation and a total of more than 1000 employees in order to make an attractive offer to everyone who is interested. Since the center opened a year ago, around 700,000 vaccinations have been administered.
