Frankfurt Galaxy extended with Reece Horn

The Frankfurt Galaxy from the European League of Football have extended the contract with Reece Horn. The receiving leader of the Galaxy will also play on the Main in the coming season.

  • Stations as a journeyman
  • Reunion with the Milano Seamen

Reece Horn joined the defending champion at the time last season. The 30-year-old had 39 catches for 683 yards and 11 touchdowns in eight games, becoming quarterback Jakeb Sullivan’s most important receiver. Horn brought a lot of football experience to the ELF, was even under contract with the Tennessee Titans in the NFL in 2016 as an undrafted free agent, but did not make the roster cut before the start of the season.

In 2019 on the Miami Dolphins summer roster and in 2021 on the Cincinnati Bengals summer roster, Horn narrowly missed the leap to an NFL career. In between, the American developed into a traveller, playing for the Milano Seamen in Italy, the Vienna Vikings in Austria and in the USA in the AAF, XFL and the Spring League. After failing to get past the Calgary Stampeders offseason roster in the Canadian Football League in 2022, he signed on with the Galaxy and became a hit.

The Galaxy starts the season on June 4th with an away game at Rhein Fire. In week 6 and week 12, Horn will meet again with the Milano Seamen, who have joined the ELF for this season. A duel with his second European ex-team, the Vienna Vikings, can come in the playoffs at the earliest.
