Eintracht Frankfurt’s sports director Markus Krösche sees no urgent reason for winter transfers. “We have a relatively large squad and are convinced of every single player. We are very satisfied with our squad,” said Krösche after the 1-0 win in the Rhein-Main-Derby against FSV Mainz 05 in a media round. The Hessians have won six of the last seven league games and spend the winter on a European cup. In the Europa League, Eintracht won their preliminary group and will be back in the round of 16 in March.

In the summer, Krösche succeeded Fredi Bobic, who moved to Hertha BSC. When asked whether he was looking forward to the new year and more preparation time for Oliver Glasner, Krösche replied: “Of course we are happy. We have the coolest job in the world.” It is a huge privilege to be able to work in the Bundesliga.

The new year begins with a challenging task for the SGE. At the start of the second half of the season, the Hessians will meet Borussia Dortmund in their home game on January 8th. As the Frankfurt Health Department confirmed, up to 15,000 spectators can watch the game in Deutsche Bank Park.
