Eintracht Frankfurt Fußball AG has recently been acting as a tied agent for DFV Deutsche Familienversicherung. The professional department of the football club is in the intermediary register of the Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce (DIHK) under the registration number D-BUAB-WQFBA-87 to find.
The background to the Bundesliga club’s field of activity, which at first glance seems unusual: Eintracht has been operating an “insurance shop” on the Internet together with the DFV since this month. There, members of the football club can take out liability and dental insurance, among other things. Additional pet and long-term care insurance should follow.
One million euros in new business expected each year
DFV CEO Stefan Knoll describes the insurance shop as the “next stage” of the cooperation with Eintracht Frankfurt. The insurer has been sponsoring the Bundesliga club for more than ten years and has been able to call itself a “premium partner” since 2018. Now they want to “use the cooperation for sales”, according to the company founder. “We expect a new business volume of one million euros per year,” Knoll is quoted in a press release. (bm)
