Customs officers caught a man with 65 luxury watches at Frankfurt Airport. The 37-year-old arrived in Frankfurt am Main on a flight from Switzerland at the beginning of April, from where he wanted to travel on to Italy, as announced by the main customs office. During his inspection, he initially stated that he had not brought any goods that had to be declared.

However, before a physical search in a separate room, the 37-year-old admitted one »larger number of luxury watches« to be transported on his body. According to the information, the man wore a total of 65 men’s wristwatches »well-known manufacturer« in a vest under his shirt with him. The tax damage prevented amounts to almost 80,000 euros. Criminal proceedings have been initiated.
