“A Catastrophe”: Total fiasco in “The Perfect Dinner”

Von Marc Thome

Frankfurt am Main – Total fiasco: On the last day of “The perfect dinner” from Frankfurt candidate Wera (59) made a crash landing that had really washed up.

Because at the dinner of the tantra massage master, almost nothing was right: preparation, attention to the guests, pleasant atmosphere – all extremely far from the standard of a “perfect dinner”.

The other four candidates were quite curious about the culinary skills of the globetrotter.

Her subject was Morocco. And thanks to a huge selection of great spices, Moroccan cuisine offers all the options for the “taste explosion” that Wera has announced full-bodiedly.

Candidate Chris (34) said: “Now she has to deliver”, but critically noted: “I don’t think Wera can cook at all.”

And he wasn’t all that wrong with his judgement. Because in contrast to her guests, who were stuffed with kitchen expertise, the Frankfurt resident turned out to be more of a spontaneous cook during the preparations.

She doesn’t actually look at cookbooks, but on her travels she looks into the pots of the chefs and learns a lot from it. So she wasn’t too precise with the quantities of herbs and spices and a lot was mixed together in a relaxed manner.

Guests at “The Perfect Dinner” are “shocked”

Perhaps a little too relaxed, because when the guests arrived at Wera’s beautiful, oriental-style apartment in Frankfurt’s north end, the 59-year-old was already totally behind schedule.

This led to the main problem of the evening: using the excuse that she wasn’t hungry because of the stress, she left her guests alone with the starter and main course and preferred to continue working around in the kitchen.

“That’s not really possible,” said candidate Nina (35). Joanna (37) was “shocked” by it and even the otherwise diplomatic Stefan (55) said: “I don’t understand it. You could have prepared so much.”

Well, Wera could of course have made up for a lot with a delicious meal, but that didn’t work very well either.

So, among other things, the bread was not ready in time and the meat did not have the desired consistency.

Wera was relegated to last place in “The Perfect Dinner”

And otherwise the entire menu lacked the flair and the quality of craftsmanship that is needed to convince the gourmets with “The Perfect Dinner”.

“That night was a disaster,” said Chris.

Accordingly, the assessment failed. Nina managed to get 6 out of 10 points, Stefan and Joanna got 3, and Chris only got 2 points.

With a meager 14 points, Wera is in last place.

“I found that shameful,” she was anything but impressed when the points awarded were announced after the end of the dinner.

The rest won Stefan with 35 points in front Chris (31 points), Joanna (30), Nina (23) and Wera.
