Frankenthal: Audi damaged in hit-and-run accident | Regional

Frankfurt – A 39-year-old Audi owner discovered damage to his parked vehicle on Emil-Rosenberg-Straße.

Between 23.08.24, 9 p.m., and 24.08.24, 10:40 a.m., his car was apparently damaged by an unknown driver as he drove past. The person who caused the accident left the scene without fulfilling his obligations.

The damage caused amounts to around 200 euros. The police stress that leaving the scene of an accident without permission is not a minor offence. The fleeing driver can expect a fine or imprisonment of up to three years and possibly a driving licence suspension.

In addition, the person who caused the accident may lose the comprehensive insurance cover of their car insurance and be held liable by their insurance company for any damage caused to a third party. The police therefore advise reporting every accident.

Witnesses are asked to contact the Frankenthal police station on 06233/313-0 or the Maxdorf police station on 06237/934-1100. Information can also be sent by email to [email protected].
