“We are still going for Guus Franke as a shareholder,” said a spokesperson for Vitesse on Wednesday afternoon. Around noon, the Arnhem club’s plans to retain the license were submitted to the licensing committee.
Franke has indicated that he will only act as guarantor if he is a shareholder. The KNVB previously stated that it would need more time to provide clarity on this.
“Of course there is a safety net,” the Vitesse spokesperson indicates. This means that regional entrepreneurs will take on the gap in the budget of six million euros. In addition, there is a deal with the American investor Coley Parry that he will not immediately demand his loan of 14.3 million plus interest.
Vitesse will probably find out on Thursday whether it is healthy enough to compete in the Keuken Kampioen Divisie next season and thus continue to exist.
