Information about the Dixie Station in Dresden:
Since November 15, 2003, a wide variety of events have been held here regularly. We have Dixieland, folk, rock, jazz, boogie woogie and classical music, as well as slide shows and readings. There are also programs for children and seniors. The station also serves as a gallery where visual artists exhibit at irregular intervals.
The large hall with adjoining club room has space for 150 guests with high tables and seating for large music concerts. For readings, plays, cinema, etc., tables and chairs are used to create a cozy club atmosphere. If you haven’t been to us yet, then it’s really about time!
How to reach the Dixie train station in Dresden:
If you are coming by car from the city center, take Königsbrücker Landstraße into the Weixdorf district until you reach the “Zur Kurve” inn. There, turn right into Brühler Straße and after about 300 m you will reach the “Dixiebahnhof” at Platz des Friedens.
If you use the tram, take line 7 to the Weixdorf Bad stop. From there, just cross the Peace Square and you’re there. (Image & text: dixiebahnhof.de)
