Volunteers from the marauding of the Restos du coeur de Chartres explain their commitment
Bernard Delhorbe, departmental manager of Restos du cœur, accompanied Françoise Souliman during this outing: “The marauding of the Restos comes on Wednesday evenings and Sunday afternoons, behind the Chartres theater. The Restobus is another device. An itinerant truck. intended for people who cannot move in the centers of Lucé, Mainvilliers and Chartres. They are people with reduced mobility, precarious workers, students… We have received funding to support us. for example, the state funded a traveling refrigerated truck for the Restobus, which is due to arrive soon. “
Where to find the Restobus in Chartres and in the agglomeration of Chartres
The State representative recalled the essential role played by volunteers during this period:
“The State supports the associations with in particular a truck for the Restobus, which should arrive by spring. The period of extreme cold begins and it is essential to support the structures. There is a large and diverse population for whom poverty is a reality. Especially many young people, who have suffered from the Covid crisis. The marauding and the Restobus are also initiatives that help maintain a social link. “
