Françoise Rossinot, the current general commissioner of the Nancy salon of the literary season “The Book on the Square” will become the general delegate of the Goncourt Academy. Her appointment will be effective from October 1st.

At the end of the fortieth edition of the “Book on the Square“of which she is now the General Commissioner, Françoise Rossinot will become on October 1, 2018, general delegate of the Goncourt Academy.
A consecration
We can speak of a consecration for this 64-year-old former journalist, daughter of booksellers and wife of the former mayor of Nancy, André Rossinot.
She is the founder and tireless linchpin of the prestigious salon which marks the start of the literary season in France each year at the beginning of September, under the golds of Place Stanislas and Place de la Carrière in Nancy.
A living room which the Goncourt Academy has made its garden for many years now.
Françoise Rossinot will therefore become, at the end of the 2018 edition of the Lorraine event, the administrator of the most prestigious and coveted literary prizes in the French-speaking world.
She takes over from Marie Dabadie who held this position for twenty years.
