Former France star Franck Ribery has found a new club for the 2021/2022 season. Ribery has officially become a new player for the Serie A promotion club, Salerno.
The 38-year-old footballer joined Salernitana after two seasons at Fiorentina. During his time for La Viola, Ribery scored five goals and 10 assists in 51 appearances in all competitions.
Ribery has arrived in Salerno and has undergone a medical test and signed a contract for a year until the summer of 2022. It is also said that the top player with Bayern Munich received a net salary of 1.5 million euros (Rp 25.3 billion).
Franck Ribery immediately introduced as a new player Salerno and promised to help his new club stay at the top level.
“Good afternoon everyone, I’m very happy to be with you, with my new team and with the new coach,” Ribery was quoted as saying SportItalia. “We all have one goal, which is to stay in Serie A.”

Salernitana was promoted to the Italian League Serie A for the first time in 23 years. The team nicknamed the Granata started by suffering two consecutive defeats after being bent by Bologna 3-2, then being beaten by AS Roma 4-0 at home.
Franck Ribery had the opportunity to debut together Salerno on this weekend. Salernitana will travel to Torino on 12 September.
