Franck Kessié caused quite a stir on social media. In a TikTok clip, the Ivorian can be seen in a home shirt for FC Bayern from the 2022/23 season.
There are currently no transfer rumors about the FC Barcelona midfielder and the German record champions. But Kessié is always associated with a departure from the Catalans, especially Inter are considered interested. Barcelona and the 26-year-old are said to have already agreed to go their separate ways in the summer – despite a valid contract until 2026.
The Bayern jersey can now be seen as an indication of a change, but it is a rarity for football professionals to wear the jersey of a European competitor so openly. But that’s not all: Kessié is obviously wearing trousers from Barcelona’s arch-rival Real Madrid under the FCB shirt.
Kessié failed to impress in his first year at FC Barcelona, coming off the bench for the majority of his 43 games. He scored three goals and three assists in his appearances for the Catalans.
The midfielder took his first steps in professional football with Atalanta Bergamo and made his breakthrough with AC Milan. The Rossoneri signed him in 2019 for 32 million euros. After three successful years, he moved on to Barça on a free transfer.
