Franck Kessie reportedly going to the exit AC Milan. The Ivory Coast midfielder has been waiting for a lot of giants, including Manchester United and Arsenal.
Kessie’s contract at Milan expires at the end of the season. Discussions about a new agreement have so far not come to light.
Salary is an issue. The 24-year-old player is asking for a fee of 9 million Euros per season, or around Rp. 173 billion.
Milan objected to the nominal. The Rossoneri can only bid 6.5 million Euros per season, or almost Rp 126 billion.
This situation makes Kessie likely to leave Milan on a free transfer next summer.
If so move from AC Milan, Franck Kessie has been targeted by many big clubs. Among them Barcelona, Manchester United, Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain.
Kessie becomes a star AC Milan in the last few seasons. The player who was brought in from Atalanta has scored 32 goals for Milan. Last season, he scored 14 goals that helped Milan lock the runner-up position in Serie A.
Previously coach Stefano Pioli had made it clear he wanted Kessie to stay.
“I want Kessie to sign a new contract,” he told Italian media. “Negotiations are taking place between the club and its agents and I don’t think this is the time to be worried,” said the coach.
“With Franck Kessie , I’m just talking about things related in the field. I’ve always seen him as a positive and calm person, no problem.”
