Francis Ngannou aims for victory in his second pro fight
Former UFC heavyweight champion Ngannou, 37 years old, steps into the ring for the second time. After an even match against the heavyweight champion Tyson Fury it’s time for the next test. In connection with the match against Fury, Ngannou was responsible for the match’s only knockdown, but Fury eventually came out victorious via split decision. Tonight comes Britain’s Anthony Joshua stand for the resistance.
Joshua has been on the news a lot for Nordic fight fans over the past year. Most recently, he comes from a convincing win against Sweden’s Otto Wallin and before that he defeated Finland’s Robert Helenius. The 34-year-old has taken home three straight wins and stands with a total match result that reads 27-3-0.
Tonight’s match is booked for ten rounds. Ngannou will earn 20,000,000 US dollars from the match.
The evening’s gala takes place at Kingdom Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The same venue that Ngannou’s aforementioned match against Fury took place in. In addition to the main match of the gala, the spectators will also take part in eight more matches. Including a match for the interim heavyweight title between Zhilei Zhang and Joseph Parker.

The gala will be broadcast on DAZN and kicks off at 16:00 on Friday night. The main match will start around 22:00. This according to the PPV sales on the aforementioned service DAZN.
