He is back. Three years after his album At Dawn Returning, Francis Cabrel reveals a new unreleased song: We arrive tomorrow. The famous singer agreed to write and compose for Philippe Guillard’s latest film, For Honor, in theaters May 3. The feature film tells the story of migrants who manage to integrate into a small village thanks to rugby. A problem that speaks to the Lot-et-Garonne singer.
“It’s a theme that has always touched me becauseit takes great courage to separate from one’s native land, one’s landscapes, one’s family. But obviously not part with its comfort, because people leave to find it. To tear oneself away from all that to go towards the unknown is extremely courageous. I look at these people with compassion”, assured Francis Cabrel, who will celebrate his 70th birthday this summer.
The interpreter of I love her to death also returned to his family history. “When I dig into my story, my grandfather left Italy in the 1920s. It impresses me a lot. And now we are only repeating this scenario in all the people we see here or there”, concludes Francis Cabrel.
