Born in Piacenza on 7 April 1945, Bosi embarked on a political career in the Christian Democrats, for which he was elected to the Regional Council of Tuscany in 1990. He was Undersecretary of Defense in the Berlusconi II government, reconfirmed in the same post in the Berlusconi III government.
