BVO On Instagram, Frances Lefebure (35) has looked back on what she calls “the craziest year of my life”. The actress and presenter shares some intimate photos of the birth of son Saul in mid-October. Lefebure explains that the boy was born through “an imperial incision”, an event she still struggles with mentally.
“I was done, I had read, looked up and written down. Unintentionally I created a dream image in my head of how you would come into the world,” the TV face writes with the images. “But you decided differently. My body decided differently. After two days in a haze, you were removed as gently as possible from my body, which had been suffering for too long. But we were so ready for you. You were finally allowed to come. Not in the way I dreamed, but with an imperial cut. The scar of which I already cherish. But I still struggle mentally with the whole thing.”
Lefebure says that she wants to tell the story of the birth in its own time. “Because there is not enough talk about it. Because ‘as long as it is healthy’ is not sufficient in my opinion. But first you, King Saul. You are the most beautiful thing that could ever happen to me,” she shares.
The TV face also praises the support of her partner, actor Boris Van Severen (34). Saul is their first child together. The actor has two sons from a previous relationship. “Your fatherhood and unconditional support for my mother and womanhood still fills me with utter happiness and gratitude every day,” Frances writes. “They say it’s not just a child being born. But also a mother. And that is the toughest and most beautiful birth at the same time. 2024… The year in which I can and may start again in a certain way. Bring it on. With this tribe you can do that,” she concludes.
