“The moment I met Boris was a catalyst in my life – I then also left Brussels and went into therapy. Everything changed,” Frances Lefebure tells Het Nieuwsblad. “I fell very much in love then, more in love than ever, the kind of infatuation I had never known before. That triggered something huge in me, because it was accompanied by a lot of pain – I was in a relationship at the time, hey. It wasn’t just a crush and the joyful lightness that goes with it, it was both mad love and a lot of pain. It was like a tidal wave thundered over me. Suddenly I realized: There’s a lot of things wrong and I didn’t even realize it until now. Also tragicomic if you look at it that way, because on the outside I seemed so stable, so strong. (laughs) And Boris got that tsunami in his head. Luckily he handled it very well. We became a real couple very quickly, a close couple.”

In April last year, the actors announced that they had formed a couple by posting some photos of each other on Instagram. Frances now admits that people found that interesting. “I never thought that people would find that so interesting, I didn’t see myself as a BV of whom people would want to know those kinds of things. Anyway, the next day it was in the papers, strangely enough. I was genuinely shocked by that,” he said. “Well, naive of Boris and me, surely? He is even more naive in such things than I am.”
