This will be followed throughout the year by a range of webinars and educational tools that can be adopted in class with students via interactive streaming and replay. During the 45-minute session, journalists will teach students to decipher images, with interactive animations in the form of quizzes and questions and answers. To date, 968 students are registered face-to-face and more than 10,000 students registered to follow the online webinars.
For 7-11 year olds, place January 11 (9:30 a.m.) at “Hello news! live – The super powers of the image” with Estelle Faure, journalist at franceinfo and Rémi Chaurand, journalist at Astrapi who will show you behind the scenes of their profession while trying to answer the questions: the power of images: how to avoid the pitfalls? how to check that they are true? Then, in order to go further and support teachers (cycles 2 and 3) in media and information education, Bayard Jeunesse will offer each week “Le quarter d’heure Actu Salut l’info” to listen to in class, and supplemented with a quiz to ensure that students have understood everything.
For 11-15 year olds, franceinfo and Bayard Jeunesse will offer “franceinfo junior – Okapi – Teenagers facing images” on January 11, at 2:30 p.m. Here, Olivia Villamy, journalist at Okapi, and Estelle Faure, journalist at franceinfo will decipher the truth from the falsehood of a photo with the students. At the end of the webinar, Antoine Deiana, journalist from the true or false unit of franceinfo, will be the guest of this event.
