Cristiano Ronaldo caused great controversy in the Eurocup when he declared against Coca-Cola. Some joined in and others made it clear that they will not stop using it. In the second group is clearly Granit Xhaka, who was caught drinking the popular soda in the middle of France vs. Swiss.
The Arsenal midfielder was seen with a bottle of the questioned drink at the end of overtime of the commitment, after the agonizing 3-3 that the Helvetians achieved in Bucharest to force a definition on penalties.

Later, Paul Pogba withdrew a beer before speaking to the press, sparking a sponsorship storm in the middle of the European Championship.
As a result of the controversy, UEFA specified that the players would not be sanctioned, but reminded the 24 federations participating in the Eurocup of the importance of sponsors “for the tournament and for European football.”
