France is tightening its entry policy for travelers from the Netherlands and several other European countries. They need a negative corona test result that is not more than 24 hours old from midnight on the night from Saturday to Sunday, the government announced. The new rule will also apply to travelers from the United Kingdom, Cyprus, Spain, Portugal and Greece.
Until now, the Dutch had to show a test result that is no more than 72 hours old.
Travelers do not need a test result if they can demonstrate that they have been fully vaccinated with a corona vaccine approved by the European Medicines Agency. It concerns the resources of Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Janssen.
‘You could expect this’
The tightening in France is not really a surprise for the ANWB . “The Netherlands is turning red, so you can expect adjustments,” said the spokeswoman. The ANWB advises Dutch holidaymakers to plan smartly and to travel well prepared. The new tightening in France has been incorporated on the ANWB Travel Guide, the internet page where information about the corona measures can be found for popular holiday countries.
