The French authorities have tightened anti-corruption measures against the background of the fact that more than 200 thousand infections were detected in the country per day.
In France, starting Monday, January 3, children from six will be required to wear masks in public due to a sharp increase in cases of infection with the omicron strain of coronavirus. About this on Saturday, January 1, it says in a government decree posted on the portal of documents of the cabinet of ministers.
“The obligation to wear a protective mask referred to in this decree applies to persons aged six years and older,” the document says.
Previously, the requirement to wear masks applied to children aged 11 years and older.
Children will need to wear masks from Monday, in particular, in public institutions, temples, catering establishments, transport, on sports grounds, indoor markets and train stations.
Recall that in France on Friday, December 31, 232 thousand new cases of coronavirus infection were recorded, which is a record in the country since the start of the pandemic.
