France: Orly airport evacuated after bomb call – 2024-08-27 05:26:16

Confusion reigned at Paris’s Orly airport on Sunday afternoon after an anonymous bomb warning phone call.

According to the report by LeParisien, the unknown caller said that the bomb had been placed in the toilets, resulting in the closure of Terminals 2 and 3.

“The facilities are being evacuated,” a source noted. This will allow specialist services such as dog teams to inspect the premises.

On Wednesday night, a Transavia plane departing Paris and Orly airport bound for Montpellier was grounded for several hours after a false bomb alert. The flight was eventually cancelled.
