Henceforth, researchers will have free access to public archives “produced in the context of cases relating to acts committed in connection with the Algerian War between November 1, 1954 and December 31, 1966”.
Under the signature of several French ministers (Prime Minister, Minister of Culture, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Minister of the Armed Forces, Minister of the Interior, Minister of Justice), the Official Journal dated December 23 specifies places of access: National Archives, National Archives of Overseas (Aix-en-Provence), departmental archives services, archives service of the police prefecture, archives services under the Ministry of the Armed Forces and management archives of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
