Because a breakthrough in France, she admits, was once a dream. The idea that it materializes through this first European showcase has something surreal for the 14-year-old singer.

Service and interview
From Tuesday, our French cousins will be able to discover the young Quebecer by means of a performance of her most recent song, Week-End. Shot beforehand in MELS studios in Montreal, the video will be relayed on the YouTube channel and the Instagram page of the French channel Nickelodeon. On Wednesday, it will be the turn of an interview, also pre-recorded, to be presented on these same platforms totaling some 2.5 million subscribers.
In both cases, the broadcast will be accessible to its Quebec fans.
“It’s a good thing it’s already recorded. I don’t think I would have slept all night if I had to do this live, ”Sydney laughs.
In the same breath, the singer says she has confidence that the message behind the piece Week-End – an ode to the sometimes unsuspected power of youth – will find an echo overseas.
“This song is to make young people realize that we have more power than we think. So we have to fight to defend our values and the changes we want to see in the world. If we get together, we can have a big impact on the future. It’s so universal as a message, ”she says.
