This year, France will honor for the sixth time the memory of its deceased rocker Johnny Hallyday, died in his villa in Marnes-la-Coquette on December 5, 2017. A sad anniversary made joyful by the opening of an exhibition dedicated to the artist at the Porte de Versailles exhibition center in Paris. From December 22, fans of one of the sacred monsters of French culture will be able to rediscover his life and career in reconstructed settings from his past. On this occasion, members of his family were regularly invited on TV sets, starting par the singer’s two daughters Jade and JoyWho spoke publicly for the first time this year, but also his wife Laeticia.
The latter spoke for a long time about her complicated love life “after” Johnny on the set of C the weeklybefore being confronted by Aurélie Casse with words from David Hallyday about his half-sisters, which stuck in her throat. “My door is open to them. If one day they want it, I will be there for them.” declared the author of Best Album. David and Laeticia, at loggerheads
At odds since Johnny’s death, David and Laeticia don’t seem ready to bury the hatchet. And the exhibition dedicated to the rocker has only added fuel to the fire: installed in Brussels before heading to Paris in the days to come, this exhibition has been described as “loot from a burglary” by the singer’s son. A barely disguised dig at his mother-in-law, who co-produced the exhibition.
