It was on a final ippon that Margaux Pinot delivered her team mates. The French team won the gold medal at the European Mixed Team Championships, organized in Mulhouse this Saturday.
From the start the Blues corrected Ukraine 4-0 thanks to the victories of Marie-Ève Gahié (-70kg), Loris Tassier (-90kg), Julia Tolofua (+70kg) and Joseph Terhec (+90kg). Qualifiers in the semifinals, Loris Tassier, Léa Fontaine (+70kg), Faïza Mokdar (-57kg) and Benjamin Axus (-73kg) allowed France to reach the final by beating Turkey (4-1), while Joseph Terhec had lost the his fight.
Opposed to the solid Dutch in the final, the Blues ended the day in the best possible way adorning themselves with the gold medal (4-1) thanks to the victories of Julia Tolofua, Priscilla Gneto (-57kg), Benjamin Axus and Margaux Pinot (-70 kg). Only Emre Sanal lost during this final.
