France denied on Thursday the claims made earlier by Russiathat there are French mercenaries in Ukraine, reports “Reuters”.
“France helps Ukraine with supplies of military materials and military training, in full compliance with international law, to assist Ukraine in its struggle to defend its sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity,” the French foreign ministry said in a statement. France has no mercenaries either in Ukraine or elsewhere, unlike some other countries“, it added.
This statement was made in response to a claim made earlier this week by the Russian Ministry of Defense that Russia has killed French mercenaries in Kharkiv.

On Wednesday, Russia said that its forces had carried out a strike a day earlier on a building housing foreign fighters in the second city of Ukraine, Kharkov.
The Ministry of Defense said the fighters were mostly French mercenaries and the building was destroyed, killing more than 60 people.
It did not provide evidence and Reuters could not confirm the claims.
