“In recent days, France has sent Ukraine more weapons, artillery installations, Crotale (air defense batteries), equipment in addition to what has already been supplied,” Macron said.
He also added that, together with the French Defense Ministry, he is working on organizing the supply of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine in the first quarter of 2023.
According to Macron, deliveries early next year will include the Caesar self-propelled artillery mounts. At the same time, the French president did not specify exactly how many installations Ukraine would receive.
Crotale is a short-range anti-aircraft missile system developed in the late 1980s and early 1990s, which belongs to the army’s air defense system, informa Express Defense. The radius of destruction of targets is up to 10 km, the height of destruction of targets is up to 6 km.
In November, French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu reported that his country had already done so transferred to the Armed Forces of Ukraine two Crotale anti-aircraft missile systems.
