France announced successful clinical trials of COVID vaccine

French Valneva announced successful trials of vaccine against COVID-19

In France, biotech company Valneva has completed the initial phase of clinical trials of its COVID vaccine, which has shown the safety and efficacy of the drug. This was reported by the press service of the company on Tuesday, April 6.

“Valneva today announced the positive results of clinical trials … of its inactivated, adjuvant vaccine candidate VLA2001,” it was reported.

The company added that the vaccine “is well tolerated and does not raise doubts about its safety.” More than 90% of the participants in the trials, conducted among 153 adults aged 18 to 55, developed “significant levels of antibodies” to COVID-19.

The company now plans to continue testing. The final phase will begin by the end of April.

Recall that France will start producing COVID vaccines… French companies will start producing Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, CureVac and Johnson & Johnson.
