The 38 degrees could be reached during the weekend in the departments in orange vigilance at the heat wave: the Rhône, the Ain and the Isère.
WEATHER – The alert was triggered this Saturday at midday in the Rhône where the bar of 30 degrees under shelter was cheerfully crossed. And this Sunday August 13, two other departments are concerned by this orange vigilance in the heat wave launched by Météo France.
« The shift in the winds to the southwest will continue to drain the Rhône-Alpes region of a mass of hot air of Spanish origin “, warns the organization. As a result, Isère and Ain will also face an episode of very hot weather.
Not only will the maximums exceed 35 degrees (including in yellow vigilance areas such as Drôme and Ardèche) but the minimums will also remain on high plateaus, which characterizes heat waves. It did not, for example, make less than 23.1 degrees in Lyon this Saturday.

As a reminder, orange heat wave vigilance is activated for a department when the temperatures do not drop for three days and three nights below a certain threshold, as you can see in the tweet below. For the Rhône, the alert is issued on Saturday, because 20 degrees will be exceeded for the next three nights, and 34 degrees for the next three days.

If this heatwave episode is not exceptional for the season, Météo France reminds that it requires ” special vigilance, especially for people who are sensitive or exposed ».
