“The surface was treated with a scented varnish: if you carefully rub the mark, you can smell a rose scent. The smell is supposed to ‘convey a spring walk through the Schönbrunn Palace Park’ ”, it said in a mailing from the Post. The nominal value is 4.30 euros.
The special stamp was issued 212,000 times

Köstinger sent cards to members of the government
Elisabeth Köstinger (ÖVP), as Minister responsible for the federal gardens, also sent the first cards with the new brand on Saturday at the presentation of the stamp in a special post office in the Palmenhaus in Schönbrunn Palace Park – to all members of the government.
“The federal gardens are known all over the world as attractions. This stamp is a token of the great appreciation for the historic gardens, which are also popular local recreation areas for Viennese people. Every postcard and every letter franked with this stamp also shows how proud we are of our beautiful federal gardens and their 100th anniversary, ”said Köstinger.
